Phases of Chiropractic Care

Picture

Everybody has heard about the Chiropractors that make you keep coming back again and again even though you feel great. Hopefully this can clear up some of the confusion that Chiropractic patients might have. I will NEVER force you to come back, or lock you in to a contract or make you come back just because I want more money. I WILL encourage you to get regular check ups for your own health!

Initial Intensive Care:
Most patients don't usually come to a Chiropractor until they are in pain or have symptoms. They are often at the point where they just can't handle it anymore and their body is struggling. Patients in this phase just want to feel better! During this phase your visits will be more frequent as we try to stabilise the spine and improve your spinal health, whilst reducing the symptoms. At the end of this phase, the patient will be out of pain or have reduced symptoms.

Rehabilitation Phase:
After your symptoms have improved this is a very important phase. Your body might be feeling great, but unfortunately pain is not a good indicator of health. It is often the first symptom to go, and the last to show up. You may be feeling great and starting to do all the things you did previously, but your body has not completely healed and is still rehabilitating. If you don't continue to look after your spine and nervous system, the problem comes back often worse than before. In this phase of care, your visits start to become less frequent and the focus is on getting you healthier, rather than just out of pain.

Maintenance Care:
This is a regular Chiropractic adjustment, and 'regular' is different for different people, to maintain all the good work that they have achieved. You are healthy, but with all the stresses that we encounter everyday your body can do with a little fine tuning to keep it working closer to 100%. Get rid of the little niggles before they become big niggles. Keep an eye on those old injuries. The patients who have regular Chiropractic adjustments rarely need to come in for an 'Emergency Adjustment' and if they do, they recover much more quickly.

Wellness Care:
You are super healthy and want to be even healthier. You want your body operating at optimal levels. You want to have fantastic co-ordination, concentration and increased energy levels. You want to be at your best. Regular Chiropractic adjustments and a healthy lifestyle are the key!
